Tat is a self-assembly furniture brand that started with the idea, 'What if we could use thread instead of hard, cold iron assembly parts so that users could feel a soft texture when assembling furniture with their bare hands?' I wanted it to be a piece of furniture that could be kept using nearby rather than an object, so I designed the 'fold shelf', a practical item. I aimed for a design that would fit anywhere and be sturdy. Panels were made by wrapping paper on the outside of corrugated cardboard. It was designed to be assembled with cotton threads.
