Kim Myeong Ryun
I explore the interaction between opposing concepts that arise from human society and individual behavior, such as alienation and unity, belief and disbelief, and control and freedom. These themes influence my work, where I translate their relationships into sculptural forms, aiming to reinterpret the connection between society and the individual and offer visually meaningful experiences.
My design primarily uses curves and curved surfaces, focusing on the possibilities they create through flexibility and movement. With my background in industrial design, I also incorporate geometric shapes and precise calculations to achieve harmony between fluidity and structure.
Moving forward, I will continue to delve deeper into these relationships through various materials and techniques, constantly evolving my design to reflect social significance.
